Nearly 80 exciting and diverse applications were submitted for the Hugo-Junkers-Preis for Research and Innovation from Saxony-Anhalt 2019. The submissions from all corners of the state once again demonstrate the sustained interest in the region's most highly endowed innovation competition, and the quality of the applications highlights the research and development enthusiasm of the scientists and entrepreneurs of Saxony-Anhalt.

Applied Research

Innovative projects in applied research from science, industry, and craftsmanship in Saxony-Anhalt were sought. The requirement is that representative research results are available in the form of a prototype, a clinical study, or similar. Additionally, foreseeable regional economic effects in the state should be generated, with the development potentially leading to new products, services, business models, or jobs. This should be demonstrable through market analyses and/or concrete intentions for market introduction.
